Garth Brooks Announces First US Date

Garth Brooks has finally shed some light on the highly-anticipated trek many of us have hoped for. The tour will open in Chicago at the Allstate Arena on September 4th. His first show in the Chicago arena in more than 13 years. This news comes on the heels of defeat in Ireland. After a last-ditch effort last week to save his five comeback shows at Dublin’s Croke Park, Brooks found out today that negotiations with the city’s government are officially over.

The shows, two special performances before his worldwide tour which is due to start later this year, are called The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event. Over two nights in Croke Park Dublin, Garth and his fans will celebrate his legendary career – a career which saw him named the #1-selling solo artist in U.S. history, sell in excess of 128 million albums and receive every accolade the recording industry can bestow on an artist.

Tickets for The Garth Brooks Comeback Special Event on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 July 2014 in Croke Park, presented by Aiken Promotions, go on sale on Thursday 30 January at 09:00. Tickets are priced E65.45 and there is a ticket limit of 6 per person (ticket limit subject to change).
